We conclude this latest set of archive images from Nottingham Express Transit in this edition of “Picture in Time”.
It was 7th June 2007 when this photo was taken of 208 and we are at the Station Street terminus with the tram waiting to depart with a service to Phoenix Park. Of course, today this is not a terminus with the phase two extensions having led to the line continuing over the adjacent Nottingham Railway Station. The grey wall beyond the tram and railings/stop boards just before that have been swept away by those extensions. The Station Street stop has also been closed with a replacement Nottingham Station stop provided on the extension although you can still see the platforms in situ.
208 is seen here in the original fleet livery which would remain on the Incentro trams until the first refurbishment from 2013. They have also enjoyed a second refurb from 2019. As well as those three fleet liveries 208 also carried an advert for e-on between July 2012 and December 2013 – one of six trams to have advertised e-on at some point plus one more which advertised Powergen a forerunner of e-on.
