We go “Out and About” again and this time its Blackpool which is featured with a shot of one of the modern trams which operate the service.
This image was taken on 20th July 2025, the day of Fleetwood Tram Sunday and so shows a tram using the crossover at Fisherman’s Walk where all services were terminated during the event. The tram is 007 which is just arriving back at the stop to start a journey to Starr Gate. The tram – named Alan Whitbread after a Blackpool Transport member of staff who sadly passed away – was carrying adverts for the NHS’ donor scheme at this time but on this side these were removed a few days after this image was taken, with the other side following soon after.
