UKTram have announced that they have renewed their partnership with Women in Transport for a third consecutive year. This reaffirms their commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion across the light rail sector.
The collaboration has helped to raise awareness of the importance of gender diversity within transport and opened up new opportunities for learning, mentoring and visibility for professionals across the industry.
James Hammett, Managing Director of UKTram, said: “Renewing our partnership with Women in Transport for a third year reflects our deep commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion across the light rail sector. The collaboration continues to bring real value not only to UKTram but also to our wider industry, and we’re especially pleased to have doubled the number of members now signed up to benefit from this partnership. We’re proud to support Women in Transport’s vital work in making our sector more inclusive and representative.”
This year, UKTram has doubled the number of members registered under its Corporate Partnership with Women in Transport, offering even more individuals the opportunity to attend events, access professional development, and connect with a supportive community for women and allies in light rail.
