In Pictures: Edinburgh Trams 275 gets a new advert

Having had five different advertisers in eight years, Edinburgh Trams 275 is now on its fourth in just four months as it returns to service carrying a wrap for Edinburgh Napier University. This also marks the return to advertising for the university who last advertised on 257 up until May 2025 (when it became one of ten Emirates trams).

Indeed, not only does it mark a return to advertising for Edinburgh Napier University but its an identical advert to the design seen on 257. The advert is a full wrap but as it features a lot of white it basically blends into the rest of the livery on the tram so its not always easy to tell that it’s a wrap.

2025 has been a year of change for 275 and its adverts. It started off the year with an advert for ESPC (which had been in place since January 2024) but during January 2025 this was changed for a new design for the same company. Then since June 2025 it has rapidly changed allegiances – Philadelphia (June-July), Edinburgh Gin (July-September), and Andy Goldsworthy exhibition at National Galleries Scotland (September). It then spent a few weeks without adverts at the depot before October 2025 came and this new advert appeared.

Edinburgh Napier University have had several adverts in the past: 269 (July-October 2021), 257 (July-August 2022), 264 (June-September 2023), and 257 again (September 2024-May 2025).
