A few weeks ago we reported how Nottingham Express Transit Citadis 232 had returned to service after coming back from Derby, and now we have the photographic evidence that it is back out on the line!
232 had been out of use for just over two years before it was back by 3rd July 2025. Its absence was down to damage it sustained when it derailed at Bulwell in a incident which ended up with a RAIB investigation.
The tram lingered on at Wilkinson Street Depot for nearly 12 months before it was agreed to send it to the Alstom facility at Derby. This was where the original Incentro trams were assembled (when it was still owned by Bombardier). It travelled the relatively short distance on 20th May 2025.
It finally came back to Nottingham in June 2025 and then was prepared and commissioned for service allowing it to be back in early July 2025.
Alstom in Derby is now home to Incentro 207 which is also under repair after accident damage.
