Tweaks to Blackpool Tramway timetable from 27th July 2025

A slightly revised timetable will be operating on the Blackpool Tramway from Sunday 27th July 2025 with the aim of boosting punctuality. The basic pattern of service will remain but with a couple of extra minutes added to the end to end journey time the main tweak will see daytime departures from Fleetwood a couple of minutes later than at the moment.

The current timetable had been introduced in April and since then Blackpool Transport have been analysing service data as well as listening to staff and customer feedback to see where it could be improved. This has led to the extra running time and the earlier Fleetwood departures whilst it has also been decided to start services 45 minutes earlier on a Saturday so that the service is now the same Monday-Saturday. The later 0700 start remains on a Sunday.

Jamie Swift, Blackpool Transport Head of Service Delivery, said: “It’s now three months since we launched an enhanced 10-minute timetable and, since April, we’ve been busy analysing operational data alongside feedback from customers and colleagues to see where further improvements can be made.

“While the 10-minute frequency is unchanged, by making slight adjustments to the timings, we aim to provide a further boost to reliability during school holidays and at other busy times.

“There will also be some minor changes to early morning and late evening timings to better reflect customer numbers and travel patterns as we strive to deliver the very best service to our customers throughout the year”
