West Midlands Metro Bull almost ready as part of a summer packed full of events

The school summer holidays are within touching distance and the West Midlands Metro are getting ready for an exciting few months of events in the region which can easily be reached by travelling on the tram. This will include the Bulls in the City arts trail, which will include a Metro Bull!

The tram service will continue to run up to every 8 minutes, and with convenient park and ride sites available on the line between Birmingham and Wolverhampton it provides an easy and reliable alternative to getting to events instead of sitting in traffic jams.

One of the summer highlights will be the Bull in the City trail which is being run by Wild in Art in aid of the Birmingham Hospice. Launching on 16th July this event includes a Metro Bull, full details of which have not been revealed. The first 250 people who find and scan the Metro Bull’s QR code will unlock exclusive rewards limited edition Metro Bull merchandise. Plus anyone who scans the bull throughout the trail (which goes until 14th September) will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win 1 months free tram travel.

The Metro Bull celebrates Birmingham’s bold spirit, with a playful nod towards one of the Midlands most iconic TV dramas. It has been designed by local artist Megan Smith Evans and is set to be one of the highlights of the trail.

Michael Reading-Skilton, Head of Commercial at West Midlands Metro, said: “Metro offers great value tickets for families. Our Family Ticket gives unlimited tram travel for one to two adults with one to four children for just £10.70 and as little as £8.20 after 6:00pm. It is perfect for a day out exploring the Bulls in the City trail.”
