In Pictures: 3002 gets 2025 pride vinyls in Manchester with other livery changes too

There have been a number of livery changes on Manchester Metrolink again with probably the most significant being the application of this year’s Pride livery on 3002. Elsewhere in Manchester there have been wraps removed on a couple of trams with one of those getting some replacement vinyls – just about!

Whilst Pride liveries on Metrolink are nothing new (starting off with the spots of the livery changing colour) its only been the past couple of years which have seen a full wrap applied to tram. In 2023 it was 3023 and then 2024 saw 3024 receive identical vinyls under the banner of Love Connects Everyone. That would make you think that 2025 may be 3025? Wrong! The chosen tram is 3002 instead!

This year’s Love Connects Everyone livery is different and is probably a better design than the last two years. Obviously it still retains the colours of LGBTQIA+ flag but in a different style and it certainly adds a splash of colour to the network. Its likely this special livery will remain in place until August/September based on previous years.

This is the first time 3002 has lost fleet livery.

Other advert news on Metrolink is more to do with advert removals. Oddly 3031 has lost its Soccer Aid advert (despite the fact the event doesn’t take place until next Sunday) although 3038 has retained its identical advert!

And 3061 has also lost its wrap for Allied World. It hasn’t gone back to full fleet livery as it has very limited vinyls for The Bruntwood Prize for playwrights 20th anniversary. The vinyls have just been stuck on top of the fleet livery making it look a little untidy in places though.
