The Seaside returns to Crich

You can’t get anywhere in the UK much more landlocked than Crich but for a week each year that doesn’t stop the seaside coming to the Crich Tramway Village and the Seaside Fun event is back again for the May Half Term week between Saturday 24th and Friday 30th May.

Obviously there will be all the usual museum attractions – including the tram service running from Town End to Wakebridge at the moment – but on top of that there will be various activities that you would usually expect to see on a trip to the seaside.

This will include Punch ‘n’ Judy, a flea circus, funfair, crafts and bingo. There also be a purpose made beach where the children can build their sandcastles, along with face painting and balloon modelling.

Candi Bell, Event Manager, said: “This event has everything for families who enjoy a great day out with a variety of activities in a beautiful, safe countryside setting. What’s more, visitors who have valid return tickets may use them for this event as many times as theywish, and rides on our vintage trams add to the excitement of the day.”

Not all events will be available on all days with the full programme available at https://www.tramway.co.uk/whatson/seaside-fun.
