Out and About: Edinburgh Trams – November 2025

In this latest edition of “Out and About” we head off to Edinburgh for another look at one of the advert liveries on the network.

One of the more recent full advertising wraps added to a tram in Edinburgh is this black affair for Square which is on 262. 262 had spent very nearly six months out of service following an altercation with a lorry at Balfour Street and when it came back it was carrying this advert, it previously advertised Capital Radio. Here we see the tram as it moves away from the photographer on Ocean Drive between Newhaven and Ocean Terminal. Ocean Terminal’s car park is ahead of the tram and the low building on the left was the first Britannia visitor centre and is now shared by the Port of Leith cruise liner terminal, the Forth Ports Leith office and a commercial business. At the berth behind the building can be seen part of the upper superstructure and helideck of the 1999 built “Boka Polaris” (GT 8234) an offshore construction vessel and diving support vessel.
