This has become a bit of a trilogy of article and here is the conclusion of the great saga of the three day Edinburgh Trams split service owing to engineering works at York Place! Having already concentrated on the operations at the Balfour Street end of the works and the actual trackwork, this time we head to West End to see how things operated there during the three day closure of the line through the city centre. Roy Calderwood is again the photographic guide to things.

267 has just come to a stand at West End and will go no further as the line onwards to Princes Street and eventually Newhaven is closed as shown by the Edinburgh Trams branded barriers. The trams terminate at the usual citybound platform and also start their next journey from here; the opposite to what happened at Balfour Street.

Not long after and 267 now departs from West End with a service to the Airport. The crossover at West End is located to the Haymarket side of the stop which means on occasions like this when a split service operates the crossover is traversed in service.

Another view of a tram on the crossover. This time we see it from the other side as 268 snakes over the track on the way to the Airport.

In this view we see 254 as it approaches West End (just out of sight to the right). The rear of the tram has just passed the crossover which it will soon use as it starts its next journey back to the Airport. Note the destination display says West End.
