West Midlands Metro services along Bilston Road in Wolverhampton were hit by delays on Sunday 29th December after a badly parked car blocked the tracks adjacent to the retail park. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of both tramway staff and the Police it was not possible to move the car out the way and so a recovery vehicle was called to move the errant vehicle from blocking the tramway.
One badly parked car equals no trams getting by on the Bilston Road. The Police may be in attendance but they also can’t shift it so things come to a halt.
Salvation comes as the car is picked up by a recovery truck. (Both Photographs by Andy Walters, 29th December 2024)
