15 Years Apart: Nottingham Express Transit 212

Its another modern tram which features in this edition of “15 Years Apart”.

That tram is one of the original fleet of Bombardier Incentro trams, 212. We first see the tram on 4th June 2009 climbing away from Old Market Square on the way to Lace Market and then Station Street. The tram retains the original NET fleet livery and on the part of the tram we see here at least is also devoid of any external advertising.

Then on 16th September 2024 we see the tram again, although it is now carrying a full wrap for the Nottingham Carbon Neutral 2028 campaign. These vinyls have now been in place since November 2021. The tram is just disappearing into Wilkinson Street Depot with it apparently suffering from a fault as it should have been continuing to Hucknall. (Both Photographs by Gareth Prior)
