After yesterday’ “15 Years Apart” included a tram which had moved from Blackpool to the East Anglia Transport Museum in that time, today we feature another tram which has done exactly he same!

7th November 2009 for the first image – and it looks a dull, wet, rather typical November day! – as we see Sheffield 513 on Bold Street in Fleetwood. This was one of the many “Farewell to Fleetwood” tours which took place over that weekend. Bold Street today looks very different with it now home to the modern LRT platform where services end and start on the upgraded tramway.

By 29th March 2024, 513 would call the East Anglia Transport Museum its home, although like 634 it is only on loan with it being a long-term loan from Beamish. It retains the familiar Roberts Car Sheffield Corporation Tramways livery of cream and blue and when seen in this photo it was stabled on the access track to the new land at the museum ahead of entering service a bit later in the day. This tram will soon be 75 years old! What a smart timeless, uncluttered modern style that would not be out of place now in any old or modern town or city street. Such neat proportions.
