Today “15 Years Apart” is going to Sheffield for more comparisons.
Its 4th June 2009 for the first image in this edition and we take a look at Supertram’s Siemens-Duewag constructed tram no. 115. Its just pulling into Meadowhall South which isn’t too far away from its destination of Meadowhall (just one stop further along the line). Whilst today Meadowhall South afford you the opportunity to change trams for the Tram-Train service to Rotherham Parkgate in 2009 it was just a normal tramstop. 2024 saw 115 receive its first all over advert when it received these vinyls for JD Sports (a very similar advert was also seen on Manchester Metrolink 3118 but as that tram didn’t exist 15 years ago it won’t feature in this series!). With a light dusting of snow on the ground on 19th November 2024 we see 115 and its advert at Hillsborough. (Photograph by Stuart Cooke)
