With a fleet of 42 trams – albeit with several either out of service long-term or away for off-site storage – there are some vehicles on the West Midlands Metro network which don’t get seen in service on a regular basis. One of those recently has been 35 but that has recently started to see more use in service once again.
Having missed several months – despite only being returned from repairs at Dudley this February – 35 was back in use, initially on driver training, during mid-November. This tends to be part of the road to return for trams, with it being used on training for a few weeks before its handed over to normal service again.
It is now back in regular use once more and when noted in service earlier this month it was seen as having 634,517km on the clock.
