In Pictures: West Midlands Metro 57 gets its first advert

Another new advertising livery to report on, this time its on the West Midlands Metro where 57 has received its first ever set of advert vinyls. The tram is now carrying a simple advert for PayPal, with it making its debut on Thursday 12th December 2024.

The vinyls have a background colour of white of the first, third and fifth section of the tram whilst sections two and four are blue (a slightly different shade than the usual West Midlands Metro livery). There are images of a range of products you can buy using PayPal along with the company logo and a number of slogans telling you how safe it is to use it to make online purchases.

With the advert now added to 57 it means the network now has three trams out of standard fleet livery. The others are 45 with an ad for City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and 58 which advertises Birmingham City University.

First day in use for 57 with its advert for PayPal. The tram just waits at Wednesbury Great Western Street here as its on its way to Wolverhampton Railway Station. (Photograph by Shiv Patel, 12th December 2024)
