A driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after driving their car on the Metrolink tracks at Wythenshawe in the early hours of Tuesday 3rd December.
The car was driven onto the tracks after taking a wrong turning with images shared online by Greater Manchester Police showing the car facing in the direction of a tram which had come to a stop.
When Police arrived at the scene they brethalysed the driver who was found to be more than twice over the legal alcohol limit.
