In Pictures: Repairs start on 42

A tram which has been absent since September is on the road to return with West Midlands Metro 42 now undergoing repairs. The tram was involved in a collision with an unmarked Police car during testing of the Wolverhampton City Centre extension and has since been stored in the depot yard awaiting for repairs to start.

The reason for the long delay between the tram being damaged and repairs starting has been down to the fact that replacement parts have been awaited from CAF in Spain. But with these now having been delivered work is underway to return to service.

One change which had already happened to the tram was the removal of the adverts for Nourished that it had been carrying since February 2022. These were removed when the tram was stored in the year back in October 2023.

  1. Andy walters says:

Probably be a convoy of 100 trucks with spares parts for the other problem trams?‍?
