Manchester Metrolink Then & Now: Jocelyn Street

Another edition of “Manchester Metrolink Then & Now” as we continue to take a look at two photos of the Oldham and Rochdale line.

We have moved further away from central Manchester and onto the Oldham and Rochdale line here with views taken from Jocelyn Street looking down onto the Metrolink line. This is not far from the stop at Monsall.

This is looking east and its early days in construction with preparations underway for the laying of tracks. Taken on 12th March 2009.

Moving on to 18th July 2023 and we again look down towards the Metrolink lines. The 14 years which have gone by have seen a lot of vegetation growth but the bridge in the distance is still a good way to tell we’re in the same place. 3076 is off to Rochdale. (Both Photographs by Keith Chadbourne)
