In this latest edition of “Around the World in Trams” we remain in Latvia to take another look at a tram in operation on the Riga system.
In 2009 the tram pictured below was renumbered 51754 having previously been numbered 5-1075 and then 5-2075 (the first number carried when it was still a Tatra T3SU, it was later converted to a Tatra T3A). Its seen here at the head of a coupled unit with a working on route 4 on the city’s tramway. With this being six years after its renumbering it would be another six years before it would again be renumbered, 31751 being its most recent number. Its still in service today.
