In Pictures: 255 into service with new Forever Edinburgh adverts

We reported last week that Edinburgh Trams 255 had recently received new adverts for its same sponsor – Forever Edinburgh – but at that time it hadn’t re-entered service and so we had only featured it at the depot with the plainer of the two sides of the advert (whilst promising you that the other side was more attractive!). The tram is now back in service and so for the first time we can include images of the tram in service with the more attractive side showing!

As we mentioned in the last article this is only the third different advert that 255 has carried since it received the first in October 2017 for CR Smith. Advert two was the first Forever Edinburgh advert (October 2020-September 2023) which came a few months after that ad for CR Smith was removed (March 2020). And now its Forever Edinburgh mark II!

255 is just making the turn from North Saint Andrew Street onto York Place with a service to Newhaven. We see one of the full height sections which features the Dynamic Earth tourist attraction at Holyrood Road with the Salisbury Crags behind.

Then in this image we see 255 on York Place just after completing the turn out of North Saint Andrew Street as it continues its way to Newhaven. (Both Photographs by Roy Calderwood, 22nd September 2023)
