In Preview: Final Enhanced Weekend of Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours operation

Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September will see the final Enhanced Weekend of operation for Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours for 2023 with a hop-on, hop-off timetable running on both days giving various journeys running between Pleasure Beach and Fleetwood Ferry between just after 1000 and just before 1800.

Five heritage trams are due to run on both days and as we’ve come used to each tram will be allocated a letter on the timetable – to work out which tram will be running each service just match the letter to the timetable (the timetable can be downloaded on the Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours website at https://blackpoolheritage.com/enhanced-weekends-2023/).

The five trams due to be running on both days are as follows (as always the usual weather and availability caveats will be in place):

Saturday 23rd September

A – Railcoach 680

B – Rebuilt Balloon 718

C – Boat 600

D – Bolton 66

E – Boat 227

Sunday 24th September

A – Balloon 700

B – Brush 621

C – Bolton 66

D – Boat 600

E – Rebuilt Balloon 718

The timetable due to run over the weekend is a revised version of that which has been seen on recent Enhanced Weekends. The Thornton Gate journey (the first departure of the day) will only run as far as Cleveleys and is also timed slightly later. Possibly more significantly is the removal of the dual timetabled services to Fleetwood at the end of the day with the final Pleasure Beach to Fleetwood being at 1555, returning as far as North Pier at 1700. The final trip of the day will be Cleveleys to North Pier at 1720.

As well as the daytime tours there are due to be Illumination Tours on each evening with a Fish & Chips Tours on Friday 22nd September at 1945 (although this is fully booked) and a Ghost Tram Tours on Saturday 23rd September at 1900 (again fully booked). And if you want to start the weekend early Friday 22nd September also see a Promenade Tour at 1300 and Coastal Tours at 1420.
