In Pictures: 274 makes it two for the Royal Yacht Britannia

We do like our firsts on British Trams Online and we have another on Edinburgh Trams! Having only earlier this year seen the first vinyl wrap advert on a tram in the Scottish capital and then gradually seen more appear, 274 has now received its first full wrap but that’s not the first we’re talking about as it is advertising The Royal Yacht Britannia – the first time we’ve seen a second full wrap for the same sponsor on different trams.

274 is the latest tram to have lost its advert for Parabola with the colourful pastel colours for the company involved in development around Edinburgh Park now having been removed in favour of the attractive blue and red advert for The Royal Yacht Britannia. This new advert is identical to that already carried by 260.

274 has previously had just two long-running adverts. It started off in September 2017 with a CR Smith advert with this replaced in March 2019 by the Parabola advert. And now in August 2023 its on to advert number three for The Royal Yacht Britannia.

  1. John Gilbert says:

The Britannia advertisement is Superb….and I am someone who normally detests advertisements on trams….(and why always just trams, what about buses, why do they not suffer from these all-over adverts.??) John Gilbert
