Events to come at the Heaton Park Tramway!

The Heaton Park Tramway in Manchester is getting ready for some events taking place over the next few weeks – including evening running and the return of their annual Model Tram Exhibition.

The first of the events to come is very soon as on Saturday 19th August they are planning to run an evening service through until 2000. That means that the heritage tramway will be running all the way from 1200 until 2000!

The following day – Sunday 20th August – will then see the return of the heritage bus link between the tramway and the Manchester Museum of Transport at Boyle Street. This gives the chance for you to enjoy the trams at the Heaton Park Tramway and then see some of their rubber tyred friends at the Museum of Transport – plus the South Lancs tramcar and Metrolink prototype.

Then on Saturday 2nd September it will be the time for model trams to take centre stage at the annual Heaton Park Tramway Annual Model Tramway Exhibition. With eight exhibits already confirmed the layouts will be seen in Middleton Road and Lakeside Depots and of course what better way is there than to go between the two than take a full sized tram on the main tramway?

Entry to the exhibition will be free with normal fares charged for travelling on the trams – £2 per adult, £1 for children aged over 5 and £5 for a family of 4.
