Edinburgh Trams release new safety videos

With trams now running further across Edinburgh after the opening of the Newhaven extension, Edinburgh Trams have released a series of safety and information videos to help the public remain safe around the system as well as providing tips on how to use the system.

Three videos have been released – two covering the platforms and the other on board the trams. They feature where you can find help points, ticket machines and platform validators on the platforms. Meanwhile, the on board animated video includes where luggage racks, dedicated spaces for wheelchairs and mobility scooters are positioned on the trams.

Ross Crawford, Edinburgh Trams’ Assistant Safety Manager, said: “Safety has always been our top priority in everything we do. So, we are constantly looking at ways to improve our safety standards to ensure customers can have the best travelling experience with us. With trams now running from every seven minutes between the airport and Newhaven, it has never been more important to provide local residents and tourists with the tips they need to be able to travel on the tram both safely and comfortably.”
