West Midlands Metro bus and tram fares to increase

Joint tickets covering travel on the West Midlands Metro and local bus services are to increase in cost from Monday 3rd July. The rise comes because bus fares are increasing from that date with West Midlands Metro keen to point out that their fares have not increased and its not their fault!

As well as general price increase off-peak fares in these joint tickets are also being removed so there will just be one all day option going forward.

New fares from 3rd July include:

  • Adult 1 day nbus+Metro – £7.70 (was £6.80)
  • Adult 1week nbus+Metro – £30.60 (was £27.20)
  • Adult 4 week nbus+Metro – £108.00 (was £95.50)

West Midlands have stated that they remain committed to freezing fares for the remainder of 2023 and the cost of the Metro portion of these tickets haven’t increased.
