Crich get ready for an action packed summer

Thoughts are already starting to turn towards the summer at the Crich Tramway Village with another varied selection of special events taking place to keep the whole family entertained.

It all kicks off on Sunday 2nd July with the return of the popular Classic Motorcycle Day. There are over 350 entries for classic motorcycles at the event which are made up of vintage machines to more modern bikes of the 1990s – as long as they are over 25 years old they count for the Classic Motorcycle Day. The event is sponsored by Derwent Waste Management and run in partnership with the Vincent HRD Owners Club.

Sunday 29th July sees the return of Dinosaur Day which was described as a “roaring success”. There will be a dinosaur trail through the woods with T-Rex, triceratops, velociraptor and some dinosaur babies all making appearances.

A new event for 2023 will be taking place between Monday 31st July and Friday 4th August with the Children’s Outdoor Theatre. You can follow Alice on her adventures through the woodland Wonderland meeting some of the story’s iconic characters.

Candi Bell, Events Manager at the Crich Tramway Village, said: “We have put together an exciting events programme, where there is something for everyone, and of course our vintage trams will be running each day.”

  • Crich Tramway Village is open Saturdays to Thursdays plus school holiday Fridays until Sunday 5th November.
