With overhead conditions which aren’t exactly yelling “open top trams!” this is a photo taken at the Fares Please! event held at Beamish over the Coronation Bank Holiday weekend. Blackpool 31 is at the Entrance stop with Newcastle 114 behind at the start of the day on Sunday 7th May 2023. During the event trams only run clockwise so this was the only chance of getting more than one tram in the same photo. A large queue of people waiting for a bus to head the opposite way is gathering on the left. (Photograph by Gareth Prior)
