Anyone travelling on the West Midlands Metro will once again be able to pick-up a free copy of The Metro newspaper after the return of the onboard newsstands at the start of May.
Michael Reading-Skilton, Commercial Manager at the West Midlands Metro, said: “The free copies of the paper were always popular with our customers, but we had to withdraw them around three years ago due to operational reasons, COVID19 and the introduction of new trams. We’re delighted that customers are again able to pick up a copy of the Metro onboard our trams and the newspaper’s return is another good reason for leaving your car at home and taking the tram instead. Rather than being behind the wheel while stuck in traffic, commuters who travel by tram can pass the time by reading through all the latest news from our region and beyond!”
The paper will be available – but get them whilst you can! – from newsstands located on all the trams.
