On the same sad theme, a male pedestrian aged 29 was fatally injured by a Manchester Metrolink tram in Poundswick Lane, Wythenshawe on the evening of Friday 13th January. I had driven along Hollyhedge Road and Southmoor Road very soon after the incident and had been puzzled as to why a tram was stationary at the Roundthorn tram stop with another southbound tram displaying Roundthorn as its destination. There is a crossover just beyond this stop, but no further one until Wythenshawe town centre.
