The Number 20: London Tramlink 2549

In this edition of “The Number 20” we go to south London for an image of one of Tramlink’s original trams.

Tram: London Tramlink 2549

Built: 1999

Qualification: The 20th tram for Tramlink

The original fleet of trams for Tramlink were built by Bombardier in 1998-9 with deliveries taking place between September 1998 and June 1999. The twentieth CR4000 to arrive was numbered 2549 and was originally in the red and white fleet livery. Like all members of the fleet it has since received the newer house style of green, white and blue. This picture is at Lloyd Park on the New Addington line on 23rd September 2014 and shows the tram operating what was then a line 3 service to Wimbledon. (Photograph by Gareth Prior)
