15 Years Apart: London Transport 1622

In today’s edition of “15 Years Apart” we feature a tram at the Crich Tramway Village. As with many of the collection there differences between 2007 and 2022 are few and far between although it has at least received some external advertising recently which does make some change.

The 2007 photo of London Transport 1622 was taken on 29th September 2007 and shows the tram just outside of the depot yard. For many long-term visitors to Crich this is how they will remember 1622 with the plain London Transport red livery seen to good effect with nothing to impinge on that iconic colour scheme.

As part of its most recent overhaul 1622 has now received some external adverts. The main between deck advert on this side is for Walters Palm Toffee but it has also got a smaller ad for Bovril bottom left. 17th September 2022 is the date for this image with the tram on static display.
