The next tram with a connection to the number 20 is actually the last tram which currently carries that number and is the only modern UK tram to carry that numbers. We’re off to the West Midlands Metro to look at Urbos3 20.

West Midlands Metro 20 is an Urbos3 tram built by CAF in Zaragoza, Spain and delivered to the UK in February 2014. Entering service in August 2014 it was later to be fitted with batteries and its first use with the batteries on the roof was in August 2019. As with the other members of the Urbos3 fleet it was withdrawn from service due to bodyside cracks in 2021/2 and has yet to return to action since the last mass withdrawal in March 2022.
