Starting on Saturday 19th November, Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours are again running Mini Festive Tours in connection with the Christmas by the Sea event taking place on the Tower Headland. The tours run from North Pier and Tower up to Bispham and back and with the Illuminations extended through until the start of January again it also gives a mini Illuminations Tours passing the tableaux on the cliffs.
Tours will run as follows:
Until 15th December
Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 1700, 1800, 1900
15th December to 30th December
Daily at 1700, 1800, 1900 (except for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day)

Whereas last year saw Balloon 723 receive a special vinyl wrap livery, this year, despite rumours to contrary, no tram has been vinyled. Rebuilt Balloon 707 has been used regularly for the tours with a special destination blind insert “Christmas by the Sea” added and Christmas decorations included both internally and externally.
- As well as the Mini Festive Tours, Illumination Tours, Coastal Tours and Promenade Tours are continuing to run until the end of the year. Tramtown tours have now been finished for the year to allow works to take place at Rigby Road Depot – they will resume in January 2023. Excellent news that the festive tours now cover the North Pier to Bispham section offering views of the tableaux – a much better ride than was offered last year. Its just a shame that 707 looks pitiful!
