Trams &: Nottingham Express Transit 235 & train

In recent editions of “Trams &” this series has more or less become tram and a bus but we have a bit of a change today as it’s a tram and a train which is featured!

This image is taken at Hucknall, which as far as Nottingham Express Transit services are concerned is a terminus for services from Toton Lane and the city centre. But for the adjacent Robin Hood line its just another station for services heading out to Mansfield and Worksop and it provides cross platform connections between the two transport modes.

On 16th September 2022, just as the sun is setting, we see Nottingham Express Transit Citadis 235 standing at the tramstop waiting for departure just as East Midlands Railway class 170 DMU 170 417 prepares to depart with a service to Nottingham. The DMU is in the full East Midlands Railway livery having been transferred from ScotRail.
