Trams &: Stagecoach Supertram 103 & bus

We are off to Sheffield again for another image of a tram alongside a bus as “Trams &” continues.

Taken on 4th September 2021 this image is taken at the Halfway terminus and shows the excellent interchange between tram and bus here with the tramstop on the right and the bus stop on the left. The tram we see in this image is one of the original trams built for the opening of the network in 1994 by Siemens-Duewag in Germany, 103, in the current predominately blue Stagecoach livery. It must have only recently arrived at the stop with the destination screens still saying Halfway – they will change to Malin Bridge ahead of its departure.

Alongside the tram is Stagecoach bus no. 12166 which is operating a route 120 service to Ranmoor. This bus was purchased in 2012 and is a Alexander Enviro 400 in the green Stagecoach livery with the addition of “Buses for Sheffield” decals “One city. One service.”.
