Tramlink strike timetable confirmed

The second – of two announced strikes so far – 48 hour strike on London Tramlink will be taking place on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th July. As with the previous strike last month there will be a very limited service in operation, mainly concentrated on the Wimbledon line.

The strikes were called by ASLEF after their members voted overwhelmingly in favour of taking action as a result of a pay dispute. Initially there had been no new pay offer this year but further negotiations had seen a deal put forward (reported to be in the region of 3%) , although this has still been rejected leading to the strikes going ahead.

Throughout the two strike days the following services will run:

  • East Croydon-Wimbledon: Limited service with trams expected to be very busy. There will be no trams after 2100 with passengers urged to complete their journeys by 2000.
  • East Croydon-New Addington: Only the first two services from New Addington (0456, 0511) will run. No other trams will run.
  • East Croydon-Beckenham Junction and East Croydon-Elmers End: No trams will run.

Passengers wishing to travel are advised to try and use other forms of transport in the area during the strikes.

A normal service is set to resume from the start of service on Friday 15th July.
