The full Volk’s Electric Railway on Brighton seafront is running all the way from Aquarium to Black Rock once more following the completion of the work on the foreshore which has seen a shortened route running so far in 2022.
As part of redevelopment works on Brighton Seafront the winter has seen works take place which despite the best efforts of contractors had been delayed by poor weather which had meant that it wasn’t possible for a full service on the Volk’s to resume at the very start of the season. Included in the works have been a number of new crossing installed across the railway which should make things safer for everyone.
The 2022 season started with a reduced service running from Aquarium to Halfway but as from Saturday 28th May – and after testing – it was possible to resume a full service from Aquarium to Black Rock.
