Seaton Pearl prepares to set sail again

Pirates may have been grounded from appearing at the Heaton Park Tramway this year but there are no such problems at the Seaton Tramway where their annual “Pirate Day” will take place on Friday 2 August (Customs officials in Seaton are obviously easier to get past than those in Manchester!) As part of the “Pirate Day” the “Seaton Pearl” will set sail from Seaton terminus with a Pirate Captain in charge of the journeys. The “Seaton Pearl” is in fact tram no. 4 which, as you will probably be aware, is based on one of the popular Blackpool Boat cars. As there are only 20 seats on the tram pre-booking is advised to travel on the special Pirate journeys on this day and normal fares will apply.
