Its back to Lucerne for today’s “Around the World in Trams”.
In this edition we are looking at a tram which has since moved on from the Swiss Museum of Transport – Zurich 32. Dating from 1939 this SWS/MFO Ce 2/3 was to run on Zurich system through until 1982 at which point following withdrawal it moved to Lucerne. And that is where we see it in this 14th August 2009 view proudly on display. But it has now returned home moving to the Tram Museum in its home city in early 2019.
