Stagecoach Supertram Engineering Works this April

The next set of engineering work on Stagecoach Supertram are to take place this April. The Blue and Purple routes will see revised services in operation on both Sunday 3rd April and over the complete Easter Weekend: 15th to 18th April.

Sunday 3rd April

Track replacement works will be taking place in the Granville Road area (with preparation works commencing on Monday 28th March until Friday 1st April between 2330 and 0500 each night).

  • There will be no service between Sheffield Station and Herdings Park/Halfway on the Purple and Blue routes all day.
  • The Blue route will run between Sheffield Station and Malin Bridge only. Trams from Sheffield Station will leave 1 minute earlier than the timetable, services from Malin Bridge will run as per the advertised timetable.
  • No trams will run on the Purple route.
  • There will be no specific replacement bus services although tram tickets can be used on Stagecoach’s 120 service and First bus services in the affected areas.

Easter Weekend – Friday 15th to Monday 18th April

Essential repairs will take place in the City Road/Spring Lane area throughout the weekend.

  • Blue route – will only run Malin Bridge to Sheffield Station with no trams to Halfway.
  • Purple route – will not run.
  • Tram tickets can be used on Stagecoach’s 120 service and First bus services in the affected areas. More details of replacement bus services will be announced closer to the time.

On both weekends the Yellow and Tram-Train routes will continue to run to their current timetables.
