Out and About: A February visit to Manchester

In this edition of “Out and About” we are visiting Manchester Metrolink as we take a look at a couple of M5000s in fleet livery in operation on the network.

3095 was the Pride Tram during Autumn 2021 as it changed its spots to match the LGBT+ flag colours and received stripes on the centre section too. But this was only a short-lived livery and it soon returned to the standard fleet livery as we see in this view. The tram is just approaching Imperial War Museum on the Trafford Park line with a service heading for Cornbrook on 9th February 2022.

On 8th February 2022 we see 3102 arriving at St Peter’s Square with a service from Eccles to Ashton-under-Lyne. Now in fleet livery this had previously been in an advert for Welcome Back Manchester. (Both Photographs by Jim Smythe)
