They Ran in 2021: Chesterfield 7

Christmas Day continues and as you wait for the Queen’s speech we have another of our photo series for you – “They Ran in 2021” and as with our article this morning its back to the Crich Tramway Village.

Chesterfield 7 is another tram which ran fairly regularly at Crich with its open balconies always popular with visitors – if you can’t get a ride on an open top tram you go for the next best thing obviously! The most local operational tram in the museum collection it also adds some local interest for visitors as well.

Chesterfield 7 passes Cabin Crossing on the way back to the main museum site during Tram Day. An Inspector strides purposefully up the line to check on what is delaying things. (Photograph by Gareth Prior, 18th September 2021)
