Reindeer return to Edinburgh Trams!

After understandably not making an appearance in 2020 – Covid restrictions obviously meant they weren’t allowed into Scotland! – the Edinburgh Trams reindeer are back for the festive season in 2021! The names of all nine of Santa’s reindeer will be seen on the Scottish capital’s trams, including the mock-up at Edinburgh Airport, and the trams will also have antlers too!

Dasher (270), Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen will be seen out on the tramway whilst Rudolph will be keeping nice and warm on the mock-up tram at the Airport.

Lea Harrison, Edinburgh Trams Managing Director, said: “There’s no doubt a reindeer ride on the tram is such a magical, Santa-themed travel experience this winter. With families having postponed their big trip last season, we want to make sure they have the most enjoyable time possible when visiting this great city. We hope our reindeer fleet bring some smiles this Christmas.”
