Discounted weekly travel on NET in November

A special “green flash sale” to coincide with the COP26 climate summit will give anyone purchasing weekly tickets through the NETGO app discounted travel throughout November. Discounts of 26% are on offer and will allow residents to use affordable, green transport around the city whilst also playing their part in the city’s efforts to tackle climate change.

The discounted tickets will cost just £14 (instead of £19) and means that it works out at just £2 per day – and there is free parking available at Park and Ride sites across the network as well making it even better value for money.

Sophie Bennington, NET Sustainability Manager, commented: “The tram offers clean, green travel for millions around the city and as COP26 gets underway we’re making it even more affordable for residents, with a 26% discount on weekly tickets. Whether it is for a full week of travel or just a few daily trips using Park & Ride, these special fares mean that for just £2 a day you can take the tram for study, work and play, while also supporting the city’s climate goals.”

The discounted weekly tickets can be purchased through the NETGO! app throughout November and is part of Nottingham City Council’s ambitious drive towards becoming the UK’s first carbon neutral city by 2028.
