In Pictures: Napier University advert on Edinburgh Trams 269

The latest new advert on Edinburgh Trams has been applied to 269 with the tram losing its full standard fleet livery to allow the vinyls for Napier University to be added. As with all adverts in Edinburgh its in the standard format – full height on sections three and five, above window ads only on the remainder of the tram.

The advert features a red background with the two full height sections including a couple of different slogans: “Ding! Ding! Our graduates are on the track for success” (pun probably very much intended!) and “Hip Hip Hooray! Our graduates make us proud”.

This is the fourth different advert that 269 has carried. Between October 2017 and June 2019 it advertised C R Smith, June to September 2019 was EE 5G and then from September 2019 until early 2020 it had adverts for American Express. Since then it has been in standard fleet livery with the addition of face masks on the tram ends. These masks are retained with the new advert.

Ding! Ding! If you look closely there are also names on the red background, these are presumably names of recent graduates from the university.
