For this edition of “Lockdown Walks” we head out into central Birmingham again for a look at the West Midlands Metro.
Its not quite a uniform fleet on the West Midlands Metro as not all 21 of the original Urbos3 trams have received a complete blue livery with a couple still seeing having white battery compartment covers. One of those is 25 which as well as that oddity retains adverts for OLA which gives an interesting colour combination of blue and green on the tram.
In this first view 25 has just departed from Bull Street and now continues its journey to Library. Note the white battery covers on the top of the tram.
Another look at 25 as it continues on its way to Library. It is now turning from Bull Street into Corporation Street. (Both Photographs by Ken Jones, 7th July 2021)
