After a period when it was difficult to see the progress being made on the future site of the Blackpool North Railway Station extension terminus the past few weeks have again shown tangible change. In this latest update we see the former site of the Wilko’s store – now long gone – where the bulk of the rubble has now been removed and a start has been made on flattening the surface in preparation for actual construction work. Tony Armitage provides us with the latest images.
Looking from roughly where the entrance to the shop once was this is the worksite where the surface is now being flattened in preparation for the next stage of construction works.
