Stop by Stop Blackpool Tramway: Harrow Place

The first stop after departure from Starr Gate north is located at Harrow Place and that is where we reach today as “Stop by Stop” continues.

The current stop at Harrow Place welcomed its first fare paying passengers on 4th April 2012 with the opening of modernised Blackpool Tramway. Being of a pretty standard design it is the northbound platform that features a shelter for passengers with information panels being provided within the shelter. For passengers on the southbound platform there is no such luxury as a shelter but a bench is provided along with another information panel.

011 pulls into Harrow Place with a Starr Gate to Little Bispham service.

Looking north in this photo we see 010 arriving at the stop as it nears journeys end. On the extreme left is the Mirror Ball, one of a number of art installations along New South Promenade. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior, 25th September 2020)
